light & dark mode

atlas supports three mode options:

  • dark — always use your selected dark theme
  • light — always use your selected light theme
  • system — automatically follow your os preference

when set to system, atlas listens for changes to your os appearance and switches instantly.

color themes

atlas ships with a variety of color themes for both dark and light modes. you can pick different themes for each mode — for example, catppuccin mocha for dark and rose pine dawn for light.

dark themes

  • atlas dark (default)
  • github dark
  • solarized dark
  • nord
  • catppuccin mocha
  • dracula
  • one dark
  • rose pine
  • gruvbox dark
  • tokyo night

light themes

  • atlas light (default)
  • github light
  • solarized light
  • catppuccin latte
  • rose pine dawn
  • gruvbox light

themes apply to the entire ui — surfaces, borders, text, status indicators, and the integrated terminal (full ansi color palette included).

accent color

the accent color is used for buttons, focus rings, active indicators, and highlights throughout the ui.

presets

eight preset colors are available:

  • blue (default)
  • purple
  • green
  • orange
  • red
  • pink
  • teal
  • gray

custom color

you can also enter any hex color value for a fully custom accent. the color previews live as you type and applies immediately.

where to find it

all appearance settings live under settings > appearance. changes apply instantly — no restart needed.
